Enrollment Requirements for International Students

To enroll at DeVry University's Keller Graduate School of Management, you will need to meet academic requirements. Please note the following:

Academic requirements In addition to meeting Keller's general admission requirements, you will need to provide certified copies of acceptable documents demonstrating the required level of prior education.

English language proficiency Applicants whose native language is not English, must demonstrate English-language proficiency by providing evidence of one of the following

  • Having scored at least 550 on the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or at least 213 on the computer-based TOEFL, or at least 79 on the Internet-based TOEFL.
  • Having successfully completed a University-recognized advanced English as a Second Language (ESL) course.
  • Having successfully completed at least 30 semester-credit hours of the qualifying baccalaureate degree or an advanced degree at a post-secondary institution at which English was the language of instruction.
  • Having an overall band score of at least 5.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination.

These English-proficiency requirements may differ at locations offering an ESL program. Contact an international advisor for details.

Visa requirements In order to study in the U.S., you will need an F-1 Student Visa. Details on how to apply for this visa can be found on the Visa & Immigration Requirements page.

Financial obligation If you are applying for an F-1 Student Visa, you will need to provide a notarized statement of financial support or a certified government sponsor letter indicating that tuition will be paid in advance of each term and that a sponsor will provide all necessary living expenses.(Form I-134 may be used.) If your employer provides tuition assistance contact your supervisor or employee benefits office to determine if tuition reimbursement or direct billing is available.
